The primary function of the epidermis is to protect the body from external aggressions and maintain homeostasis (balance) in terms of water loss, temperature regulation and blood pressure. Ceramides are essential to firm the skin and protect it from dehydration, sensitivity and environmental influences and to make its overall structure firm and supple. Scientific studies demonstrate the importance of ceramides in the stratum corneum (compared to other lipids), which are necessary for the maintenance of healthy skin. Thus, decreases in the quantity and/or quality of ceramides are associated with dry skin problems and other skin diseases such as atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, etc. As the barrier function is altered, water loss is increased, the skin is weakened and becomes more sensitive to external aggressions. Ceramides (Complex with Ceramide NG, NP & AP) - Ceramides have strong moisturizing and water-locking effect, and it also effective in repairing damaged skin and strengthening the protective skin barrier.Its moisturizing and water-locking help to reduce dryness, wrinkles and pigmentation of skin; Keratinocytes also play an essential role which can enhance skin elasticity and delay aging; keratinocytes also help to repair skin barrier and give strong protection to skin.At the same time, ceramides connect the lipid matrix and keratinocytes to reduce harmful substances entering the skin through pores and sweat glands, thus providing anti-sensitivity effects.

Trehalose (NMF) - Is a sugar commonly found in plants and is used in cosmetics and personal care products. Trehalose hydrates the skin and has anti-oxidizing properties. When applied on the skin, trehalose allows it to retain moisture thus protecting against dry skin and helps reduce the visible signs of aging.

Betaine (NMF) - A Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF), betaine is naturally occurs in skin and the body. It's known as an osmolyte, an ingredient that helps skin adapt to moisture losses and gains, essentially working to balance skin's hydration.

It also help healing by speeding up skin cell production and collagen synthesis.

Sodium Hyaluronate (HA) - It is a humectant to restore skin moisture, promoting a more revitalized and youthful complexion. One gram of hyaluronic acid can hold up to six liters of water. It also revitalizes skin’s outer surface layers, so they look and feel softer, smoother and radiantly hydrated. This instantly improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Glutathione - Is an antioxidant naturally found in human cells that neutralizes free radicals, boosts the immune system and detoxifies the body. It can also cause skin lightening by converting melanin to a lighter color and deactivating the enzyme tyrosinase, which helps produce the pigment.

Ethyl Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) - Is a water-soluble, stable vitamin C derivative and highly effective antioxidant, improves collagen synthesis and reduces wrinkles.

Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) - Vitamin e oil’s potential benefits derive from two key features: Its antioxidant properties, which could fight inflammation and slow the effects of free radicals, and its moisturizing properties that help to moisturizes the skin. Vitamin e prevents and minimizes the appearance of scars and help the skin look more youthful and less wrinkled. Jojoba Oil - Anti-inflammatory properties which help to tame chaffing and chapping, reduce redness caused by drying, ease the effects of eczema and rosacea, and keep skin calm and comfortable.

Citric Acid - Is derived from citrus fruits with astringent properties to absorb excess oil and dirt (including makeup residue) from pores. Hence, it can help to minimize enlarged pores. Citric acid also help to exfoliate skin in order to remove dead skin cells.
